A delegation from the Atlantic Way Region was attending the recent International Interpoma conference in Bolzano.

The 2012 Interpoma with its 364 exhibitors from 17 different nations welcomed 16.017 professional visitors from over 60 different countries.

The convention event with the name “The apple in the world” is unique throughout the world and has gone on to become a “must” for insiders in the sector: an ideal forum for getting information about the latest trends, selections, and products, as well as the optimal place to do business.

Imen Mc Donnell, Our New Ambassador!

We’re so delighted to have Imen Mc Donnell as the newly appointed ambassador of the Atlantic Way Food Initiative.

Imen McDonnell is a food writer/photographer and farmerette who pens a weekly column, Tales of A Modern Farmette in Irish Country Living, published each week by the Irish Farmers Journal. Her popular food blog, {farmette}, documents her transition from American city life to the Irish countryside and celebrates local Irish food, cookery and baking along with traditional farmhouse kitchen skills such as butter, bread, and cheese making.

Imen will be judging the ‘Best Atlantic Way Food Dish’ as part of our “Celebrating Regional Food in Co. Clare” Event on June 21st-24th.
